Tom Lewis, an up-and-coming actor from Leeds, graduated from RADA in 2017, appearing in several stage productions while studying, including The Winter’s Tale and Oedipus, in which he played the title role.

However, it’s the young actor’s burgeoning television career that’s garnered attention most recently, after he landed his first recurring TV role in the much-hyped period drama Gentleman Jack, airing on BBC One on May 19, which has won considerable praise since its debut on HBO last month. Lewis plays Thomas Sowden in the new series, penned by Happy Valley creator Sally Wainwright, starring opposite Doctor Foster's Suranne Jones in the lead role as the infamous Anne Lister, as well as veteran actor Timothy West, Game of Thrones star Gemma Whelan, and Bodyguard’s Sophie Rundle.
